The Apostolic Islands of northern Wisconsin is a cluster of islands in Superior Lake, most of which are part of the protected Apostolic Islands national lakeshore. Although comprised of 22 island chains, there are more than 22 reasons for hiking, kayaking, camping, exploring local culture, enjoying local fish fry and much more.

The largest island in the cluster – more than 13 miles long and six miles wide – is larger than Manhattan. The mainland town of Bayfield, Madeleine Island, is served by a car and passenger ferry several times per hour on a mere 15-minute trip per hour.
