While the stigma attached to single travelers has diminished gratefully over the past decade or two, traveling alone to a destination that is usually more family-oriented, like Disney Park, can still raise an eyebrow. But the real joy of traveling to Walt Disney World alone is that you can do whatever you want, whenever you want because you’re not on someone else’s schedule!
If you’re worried about other people pointing you at the crowd because you’re alone at Disney, don’t worry about it at all. Most of the Magic Kingdom and other Disney World parks have their own schedules and engage with their kids so much that they don’t even notice the other people in the park. Enjoy the sweet freedom of not pushing a stroller or standing in line for an attraction that you are not excited about.

Holidays that are full of complexity are neither fun nor comfortable.
If you really want to meet other people at Walt Disney World, there are some great places to connect. The first is through social media. There are hundreds of Disney Facebook groups where people post reunion times with their holiday dates where they encourage others to hang out in the park with them! We make a mistake when meeting strangers, Disney is a very public place and if you do not feel comfortable in the hang-out group, it is quite easy to get out of there.
For those who are just looking for a place to chat for a while with someone new or to hang out with a big party, try some bars at Walt Disney World. Most Disney hotels have great bars where the staff behind the counters are ready to hang out and even introduce you to other guests who are having a drink. A great place for this is the Barcelona Lounge at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, which can be booked via Orbitz, or along Disney’s Boardwalk, a quarter of a mile from the restaurants, shops and nightlife options at Epcot.
Epcot hosts four unique festivals throughout the year and this is when you get to see more adults, including those traveling alone in the parks. Reserve your tickets well in advance, and then get ready to take part in great food and entertainment and explore all that the park has to offer. Winter brings Epcot International Festival of Arts, Highlighting a variety of arts, from culinary to stage shows and multiple interactive activities for guests. Seeing the debut of spring Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, Where Epcot is alive with thousands of flowers. The most popular festival of the fall begins Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, Where everything revolves around eating and drinking. Finally, winter begins Epcot International Holiday FestivalWhich celebrates various winter celebrations around the world.
These festivals are suitable for solo travelers because there is so much to do You can really spend the whole day at Epcot and still not see everything. No matter which park you choose, you want to effectively choose your Genie + skip-the-line pass reservations, especially now you have to pay for the pass (it was formerly known as a FastPass + and was free). This means not choosing rides that have a single rider line as mentioned above. This means not having to waste those reservations for opening the park very early in the morning or late at night when the park is closed, as the parks are the least busy and have the shortest waiting time.

All the parks at Walt Disney World have great shows throughout the day. The real treat as a solo traveler is to slow down and enjoy the stage show without rushing to the next big attraction. Disney’s Hollywood studios are best known for their stage shows, which include an Indiana Jones-themed stunt show inspired by the animated films “Frozen” and “Beauty and the Beast,” and a feature park themed guests. Star wars. Be sure to take a time guide or check out the My Disney Experience app to see showtimes. Shows at Disney’s Hollywood studios tend to be full, so it’s ideal to go to the theater about 10 to 15 minutes before showtime.
Walt Disney World has two water parks, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach. Both are a great option for a single traveler in the warm months because each one has a lot to do. Some rides are family style raft rides where you will be paired with other teams, but there are plenty of rides you can enjoy alone.
If you’re just looking for a way to relax in the sun, be sure to grab a beach chair a short distance from Wave Pool, which is in the center of both parks. You’ll see chairs scattered in hidden pockets on the beach across both parks! If the water calls your name but you still want that soothing feeling, the lazy river can be. Grab an inner-tube and glide around the water park slowly without the need to get out of the water anytime soon. For the ultimate break, treat yourself to a private cabana where you will have a set of loungers, a host to bring food and drink, and a great view of the rippling pool or lazy river while you sit and enjoy. The day.

Being able to explore theme parks at your own pace is a huge advantage of traveling to Disney World alone. One of the things you must do while at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is explore animal trails. These trails can be found throughout the park and have some unique animal features. Cast members are always there to answer questions and tell guests more about the animals they are observing. Most of the time trails are a great way to stay away from the crowds in the park and enjoy nature.
Since no one else is traveling with you, being able to show only the big fireworks show or parade is a huge bonus at Walt Disney World. Each of the four Disney World Parks has its own nightlife attractions that show a tendency to fill up quickly with family, but if seen just before showtime you as a solo traveler can get great seats as the cast members will try to fill the room as much as possible. . A good idea to show up about 10 minutes before the fireworks display is just to make sure you are in your place.

Disney’s contemporary resort
It really depends on your budget and what you are looking for outside of your hotel. Disney World divides their on-site hotels into three levels: standard, medium and deluxe. If you are looking for a place to eat, drink and offer some entertainment, you may want to choose a medium or deluxe resort. If you are really looking for a place to sleep and take a bath, then a standard resort may be the best option.
At Disney Value Resort, the rooms are a bit small but have all the amenities you need while at Walt Disney World. We love Disney’s Pop Century Resort because all rooms have recently been redesigned with a hardwood floor, a regular and a Murphy bed that doubles as a table, and a bright bathroom with plenty of storage. The resort is part of the Disney Skyliner Resort, which makes it easy to access both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot without having to take a bus.
Disney’s mid-priced resort has multiple dining locations, some entertainment and a more relaxing feel. We recommend Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside for how close it is to the Magic Kingdom, the boat transport and the spacious rooms at Disney Springs. One of the downsides of medium resorts is how spacious each resort is, but if you have your own car or don’t mind walking to the lobby or restaurant, it won’t be a problem.
Walt Disney World deluxe resorts are often within walking distance of one of the theme parks, with multiple modes of transportation to and from the park, several dining options and plenty of on-site entertainment. We love Disney’s Boardwalk because it’s within walking distance of both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it’s got lively entertainment at Jelly Rolls.
Many people are afraid to eat alone, but Disney confirms that even the lone traveler’s table service is well taken care of in the dining location. If there is something you really want to try that others may not enjoy that you can usually travel with, treat yourself and save. It is often easier to make a reservation for someone before your trip or even to walk and sit for a few moments.
One of the places we recommend in Epcot that is great for single travelers is Takumi-Tei, a new table service restaurant in the Japan Pavilion. This is definitely a place for someone who likes to be a little more adventurous with their food options, but wants to treat themselves to a spectacular meal filled with Japanese tradition and exceptional service. We recommend getting the Omakase Testing Menu, which includes some of your valuable Japanese A5 Wagyu strip steak pieces!
Walt Disney World should not be difficult or intimidating to be alone, unless you plan your trip and take some time to be spontaneous and do whatever you want.
